I grew up on Port Medway Rd.. If you drive all the way to the end of the road just before the wharf you will see this beautiful view. On the day I took the reference photo for this painting, I had just biked to my favorite gift shop (Seaport Gifts and Treasures) with the kids and my Mom to shop for souvenirs. It was nearing the end of vacation in Nova Scotia sadly. Earlier we sat near the lighthouse in Long Cove and had watched this sailboat on it’s way into the Harbour and now it was making it’s way to shore. It felt very symbolic and I had been itching to paint this all through the fall and winter and finally got a chance this spring. Now the original is in Port Medway and here you can buy a limited edition print.
***I try and take all of my photos to truly show what the item is like in real life, but due to different devices, screens, cameras and brightness levels there may be some slight variation. Limited Edition prints are printed from a local printer who strives for the best color matching to the original and prints on high quality card stock for a durable bookmark. No more than 5 prints will ever be made of my original watercolor paintings.
